First, you need the NearStream mobile App in order to use the camera. You can download the App and use it to connect VM33 with your mobile device and set up the camera.
1. Download NearStream Apps
Before downloading the app, you should check to make sure that your mobile device is running the minimum required OS software version.
Android
- Android 6.0 or later
iOS
- iOS13 or later
The NearStream apps are free to download from app stores. Android users can go to the mobile phone app store to search for NearStream. IOS users should go to the AppStore and search for NearStream to download.

2. Connect VM33 to a mobile device with the NearStream App
Step 1. Power on your VM33. Press and hold the power button for three seconds. With a beep sound, the power light blinks twice and the front indicator is solid white.
Click the Camera and Next button, and you will see the camera listed on the Bluetooth search device page.
Step 4. Choose "Yes, I have Wi-Fi" to connect a stand-alone Hotspot/ WiFi or use a personal hotspot from a different cell phone. Proceed to select the Wi-Fi from the list of available networks.
3. Streaming & recording with NearStream App
After setting up the connection between your VM33 and the NearStream App, you can use the App to control your streaming and recording with the camera. With the help of the NearStream App, you can also add customized graphic overlays, adjust camera images and zoom in and out of your shot.
